Welcome to my website!
As a reading specialist, I work with students who need reading support. For grades 3 through 5, I use the Soar to Success program. Students learn to use four strategies: predict, question, clarify, and summarize when involved in reading and writing tasks. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students receive instruction focusing on phonemic awareness and working with words along with reading and writing strategies. Reading Recovery, a one-to-one tutoring program for 1st grade students, is also offered.

Reading Tips Daily Reading and WritingReading and writing daily maintains and further develops skills learned. Read every evening and then write about what was read in a daily journal. This is a great way to spend quality time with your children as well as being involved in their learning.
